Three Decades of Concrete Results
Barry's career traces back to 1994, and his firm WealthCare Corporation now generates $5 million in annual revenue and earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 in 2025. He has taught at four Missouri universities and built a media presence that reaches audiences across the region and beyond. His weekly television show, Watts on Wealth, airs in Springfield, Missouri on KY3 (NBC), KOLR (CBS), KSPR (ABC), and KRBK (Fox), and in Joplin, Missouri on KOAM (CBS) and KSNF (NBC). His radio program of the same name broadcasts on KSGF (104.1 FM) and KSRG (1310 AM), and his podcast, The Truth About Taxes and Retirement, is available wherever you get your podcasts. His work spans clients coast-to-coast.
Tax strategy sits at the center of everything Barry does. After years of watching clients get vague answers from their CPAs, he pursued IRS credentials so he could give real guidance rooted in the tax code. Today he coordinates Social Security, pension income, and retirement account withdrawals to build tax-free income plans his clients genuinely can't outlive.
A Life Built on Serving Others
Barry grew up in the rural Missouri Ozarks, where helping a neighbor meant showing up, not sending a memo. That upbringing shaped everything. Before entering financial services, he served as a minister. A defining moment came at 15, when his grandfather died and he began wondering how families survive financial hardship without a plan. That question never left him.
He still lives on an 80-acre farm in the Ozarks with his wife Kelly, their two daughters, and a donkey named Larry. His faith and his family are not background details; they are the foundation. His advice to anyone starting out: focus on lifting other people, and you will lift yourself right along with them.
